A photographic summary of the renovation carried out by Karola Estudio in a house in Astrabudua.

Effective communication is crucial in any reportage, but it becomes even more essential when it is the first for a client.
From the outset, it is important to discuss the work to identify key elements to highlight.
Sharing the images during the process allows for valuable feedback, which guides subsequent decisions.
Fortunately, from the beginning, there was a mutual understanding and trust that facilitated the work, and that is how we successfully completed this first report.
Highlighting the strong points of the work and the goodness of the materials used.

In architectural and interior photography, I use high-precision equipment that allows me to achieve excellent quality results.
I work with a Fujifilm camera of the latest generation, mounted on a tripod with a rack and pinion ball head, which guarantees stability and minimizes any risk of vibration, ensuring sharp images.

To correct perspective distortion, I use fixed focal length decentralized lenses, which are essential to preserve the geometry of architectural lines and shapes.

In addition, in post-production, I focus on applying advanced techniques that ensure a faithful representation of colors, light and details, so that each photograph not only captures the essence of the work, but also accurately reflects how the space is perceived in reality.

The general look desired in these images is that they should be bright and warm, as this makes them more pleasing to the human eye.

Photo reportage of Keyah Estudio's new premises furnished by Keyah Decor

In this report Keyah Decor designed and installed shelves, enclosure and counter in the new Keyah Estudio store where they teach courses and experiences related to the creation of ceramic pieces.
The furniture is design, colorful and functional.

Photographing furniture is not always easy as custom pieces have their own character and personality, proportions and measurements.
For each piece, therefore, different decisions are made and each piece is also custom photographed.

What I always try to do is aside from highlighting the unique details of these pieces of furniture is to see how they integrate into the space in which they are installed and how they communicate with each other.

When it comes to photographing furniture, I take the key elements of interior and architectural photography to a large extent.
I use highly specialized equipment that guarantees me the highest precision and quality results.
I work with a Fujifilm camera, stably mounted on a tripod, which minimizes any vibration or movement that could affect the sharpness of the images.
For this discipline, I use decentralized lenses, essential for their ability to correct perspective distortion, a critical aspect in interior photography.

These fixed focal length lenses offer superior resolution and increased sharpness compared to zoom lenses.
Their shift function allows the optical plane to be adjusted without tilting the camera, thus achieving a wider, distortion-free field of view, which is crucial for preserving the geometric integrity of lines.

In post-production, I focus on faithfully reproducing colors, light and visual elements.
The goal is that each photograph is not only an accurate representation of the work, but also a faithful visual translation of how the human eye perceives the space and the materials of the furniture, always respecting the authenticity of the original design.

Photographic report of a house in Rekalde for the interior design studio Karola Estudio.

In this report it was very important to show how with a proper reform you can take advantage of a house of few square meters.
It was also important for the studio to give a visual identity of its own to the images obtained.
Through rehearsals we reached a result that they liked, moving away from the usual warmth of architectural and interior photographs we managed to give a more personal aesthetic to the work they did.
We were also inspired by the technique of chiaroscuro, one of the four canonical pictorial modes of the Renaissance, which gives a greater contrast to the elements and makes them gain volume and presence in the image.

All this mixed with advanced techniques to faithfully reproduce colors, light and visual elements, so that each photograph captures the essence of the work and reflects with some accuracy how it is perceived in reality.

In addition to making a visual description of the house it is also important to highlight the furniture and lighting fixtures from brands such as Vitra, &Tradition and Zara Home.

My approach to architectural and interior photography is based on the use of highly specialized equipment that ensures high precision and quality results.
I work with a Fujifilm camera of the latest generation, mounted on a tripod with a rack and pinion head, which provides the necessary stability to obtain perfectly sharp images.
For this type of photography, I use fixed focal length decentralized lenses, essential to correct perspective distortion and maintain the geometric precision of the architectural lines.

Photo shoot at Casa Aizkorri, a house designed by N Studio Bilbao

This was the first shoot I did with N Studio.

Communication is always important when we do a reportage to know that we are giving the client what they need, but even more so when it is the first reportage.
The conversation has to be about the work and to understand which elements are given the most weight, showing them the images you are making is a good idea as the feedback they give you is a determining factor when making the next decisions.
With N Studio it was very easy from the beginning as there was a mutual understanding and trust.

A very powerful work in which participated brands such as: Luis Poulsen, Viccarbe, String Forniture, Vitra, Santos Bilbao, Tres Grifería, Stoff Nagel, Viveros Fadura, Memaiame, Onok Lighting and Bora Spain.

In architectural and interior photography, I employ highly specialized equipment that allows me to obtain results with the utmost precision and quality.
I use a Fujifilm camera of the latest generation, stably mounted on a tripod with a rack and pinion head, which is essential to minimize any vibration or movement that could compromise the sharpness of the images.
For this type of photography, I adapt decentralized lenses, which are indispensable due to their ability to correct perspective distortion, a critical consideration in architectural rendering.

The lenses I use are fixed focal length, as they provide superior resolution and sharpness compared to zoom lenses.
The shift function of these lenses allows the optical plane to be adjusted without tilting the camera, resulting in a wider field of view and distortion-free images, crucial for maintaining the geometric integrity of lines and shapes in architecture.

My technical approach is not limited to image capture, but extends to post-production.
Here, I apply advanced techniques to ensure that colors, lighting and all visual elements are faithfully reproduced.
The goal is that each photograph is not only an accurate representation of the work, but also an exact visual translation of how the human eye perceives space and architectural structure, always maintaining the authenticity of the original design.

Photo and video report of a house in Etxebarri renovated by the interior design studio Karola Estudio.

In this report it was essential to show the work of the house as a whole because the studies have their own visual identity and print it in every reform they make.
No decision is random, at least when they have total freedom to decide, since the work they do is going to be the client’s home and they are the ones who ultimately have the power of decision.

When there are elements that have not been decided by the studio, they cannot be completely omitted, but with photographic composition techniques we can make them stand out to a lesser extent.
In this work it was important to emphasize the children’s bedroom so it was given more prominence than it would have in a normal home.

Apart from the photographic reportage we also make a video reportage, so the material needed for this type of reportage is greater, in particular the necessary equipment to move the cameras in a stable way, without making swaying.
The camera I use is from Fujifilm and allows recording in 6K quality with 10bit color depth and up to 14 steps of latitude, which gives a very rich color quality and a smooth transition between shadows and lights.

In my architectural and interior photography work, I always resort to specialized equipment that allows me to obtain results with a high level of quality.
I use a tripod with a rack and pinion head to ensure maximum stability and avoid any movement that could compromise the sharpness of the images.
The fixed focal length decentralized lenses I use are essential to correct perspective and maintain the geometric integrity of the structures photographed.
These lenses range from 18mm to 75mm and can even use a telephoto lens when the situation requires it.

In the post-production stage, I apply advanced techniques to ensure that colors, lighting and details are faithfully represented, so that each image is not only an accurate reproduction of the architectural work, but also an accurate representation of the visual perception of the space.
