In this assignment for the advertising agency Dimension I had to follow the video team of Berde Produkzioak.In charge of the promotional spot for the new Hotel The Artist in Bilbao, the building that formerly housed the old Hotel Domine has been completely renovated and decorated with the works of the Valencian artist Javier Mariscal.
My task was to follow them photographing the various scenes that had been planned for the recording.
Everything revolved around the experiences that you can live if you stay at the Hotel, highlighting the gastronomy and comfort services.
Throughout the day, several scenes were filmed with different actors, a work of endurance since it was from nine in the morning to eleven at night.
In order not to lose any detail of it I used two cameras, each one with a zoom lens, one equivalent to a 24-70mm, to capture the space and make group portraits and the other camera with a lens equivalent to a 70-200mm, to capture details and isolate them.
Working with two cameras allows me to be more agile since it eliminates the time of changing lenses, something crucial in this type of reportage since time is money and you can not hinder the recording.
It also provides extra security because if one of the two cameras fails, we can continue with the reportage.
My cameras and lenses are from the Fujifilm brand because it offers me a very good image quality in relation to the weight and size of the equipment, it is important in this type of events to carry a light equipment that allows long bursts.
What I like most about the equipment is the quality of the sensor of the cameras, which allows me to have more control over the final color of the image.

The furniture created by Keyah Decor for the Txuqun Restaurant consisted of twenty tables for diners, a bar to receive customers and benches for them to sit down to eat.
The design of the space was done by Studio Pacas.
Whenever I can I photograph using the natural light of the space, in this case it was not possible so from the point of view of post-production had to do a great job in neutralizing the color dominants generated by artificial lighting.
For the realization of this photographic reportage, I have used Fujifilm cameras and specific decentralized lenses for architecture, essential for their ability to correct perspective distortion and capture the image with straight lines.

In this project, I had the opportunity to photograph the furniture designed and installed by Keyah Decor in a house in Galdakao, including a solid oak table, an industrial style bookshelf, a headboard and bedside tables.
Whenever I can I work with natural light as it is the most faithful way to represent the colors, without mixing temperatures or creating hard shadows that make the apparent volume of the elements of the house is lost.I use specialized Fujifilm equipment, and the camera is mounted on a stable Manfrotto tripod with a Manfrotto rack and pinion head, which is essential so that nothing can compromise the sharpness of the images.
For interiors and architecture I use fixed focal length lenses because they provide superior resolution compared to zoom lenses.
Thanks to their shift function, I can adjust the optical plane without tilting the camera, which allows for a wider field of view and a distortion-free image while maintaining the geometric integrity of architectural lines.
Post-production aims to faithfully reproduce the colors and lighting.
The goal is to create an accurate representation of the designed furniture and that the client is satisfied and has images that will be useful on their website and social networks.

I would like to tell you about the photographic project for the Skamata restaurant in Balmaseda.
In collaboration with Keyah Decor, in charge of making custom furniture for the premises, with a handcrafted bar in solid cedar wood of 8 meters long as protagonist.

In this photo reportage we had limited time to photograph since the place does not close any day during the week so we had to photograph prior to the opening.
The building that was previously in a decadent situation was completely renovated, keeping the original walls and placing steel beams capable of supporting the entire roof, creating a huge space totally diaphanous, a project created by a group of friends that stands out for its specialty coffee, its pintxos, its pizza and its grill, a Mediterranean breath in Balmaseda.
In the reportage I tried to describe the dimensions without the furniture losing prominence.
I always use a tripod for this type of reportage because for most of the image to be in focus it is necessary to use fairly tight apertures and that requires a long exposure time, so as not to compromise the quality of the image or its sharpness it is necessary to use this material.
As well as off-center lenses specific to architectural photography.
